The Muskoka Builders Association was formed in 1987 to unite Builders, Suppliers, Trade Contractors and Service Professionals who are devoted to professionalism in the building industry.
Goals:
• To promote professionalism of our members
• To build consumer awareness and public trust
• To host networking education and training opportunities
• To become the builder of choice for Muskoka families and businesses
• To provide guidance and advice to government before they enact policies and regulations that affect the growth of the building industry
Tarion is a private corporation which was established in 1976 to protect the rights of new home buyers and regulate new home builders.
Tarion administers the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act, which outlines the warranty protection that new home purchasers are entitled to in Ontario.
Tarion’s Mandate:
• License new home builders and vendors
• Ensure builders/vendors abide by the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act
• Help educate new home buyers about their warranty rights
• Protect consumers when builders fail to fulfil their warranty obligations
• Resolve disputes about warranty coverage
• Investigate illegal building practices
• Promote high standards of new home construction

Thank for the outstanding job you did for us. It was a great relief to have someone you know you could trust especially since we were away.
We have just returned from our first visit to the cottage since the erection was completed. Our project is on Nine Mile Lake near Bala. We want to thank you very much for how smoothly the project has gone and how outstanding the finishing result is.
Howard and I wish to thank you for the design of our new home. Steve and John have both been very helpful and attetntive to our concerns.
