This spectacular custom home, on Fairy Lake near Huntsville, has been awarded the prestigious Energy Star rating for meeting the stringent requirements for high energy efficiency, comfort and performance established by NRCAN and the EPA. It simply doesn't get any better this and Tech Home is proud to offer such exceptional quality to our clients.
When the clients approached Tech Home, they had a clear vision: a refined family retreat that felt warm and timeless but could also serve as a year-round home for both quiet living and hosting extended family.
They wanted natural materials, lots of light, and spaces that felt connected yet gave everyone room to spread out. The lot they had chosen in Huntsville was forested and sloped—ideal for a walk-out design—and they were looking for a builder who could manage the full process from design through construction and landscape integration.
We worked closely with them to shape a home that would fit both their lifestyle and the land. The result is a three-level custom build that uses the site’s natural grade to create layered outdoor spaces, a sun-filled walk-out basement, and a commanding front elevation.
Inside, we designed for flow and light: vaulted ceilings and full-height windows in the main living area, an open kitchen and dining area for gathering, and a wood-clad sunroom that’s usable in all seasons. The material choices are soft and natural—wood, stone, and white tile—creating a palette that feels both current and lasting.
The finished home delivers on every aspect of the clients’ goals. It offers ample space—five bedrooms, an office, and a hobby room—but feels cozy thanks to warm finishes and a thoughtful layout. The landscape work completes the picture, with granite steps and terraced planting beds anchoring the house to the forested slope.
It’s a home designed not just to look good, but to live well—today and for years to come.
